MINNEKOTA HEREFORD RANCH- SCRUNCHIE

John Schmidt was encouraged by an Uncle to leave Germany and come to America, Minnesota specifically, and be a Lutheran minister. He became a farmer instead along the Minnesota/South Dakota border near Marietta, Minnesota. In 1914, he married Theresa Krengel and they raised 12 children that grew into 56 grandchildren and 113 second cousins. Minnekota Hereford Ranch represents the origins of the John and Theresa Schmidt family that continues to grow today.
